What is the difference between soundproofing and acoustic panels?
Soundproofing aims to reduce sound travelling between spaces. Acoustic absorption panels reduce reflections and echo inside a room. Decorative or fabric acoustic panels should not be treated as a replacement for a wall, floor or ceiling soundproofing system.
Which materials do I need for a noisy shared wall?
The right build-up depends on the wall construction, noise type and space available. Systems may combine acoustic insulation, isolation components, dense boards and acoustic sealant. Explore our wall materials and ask our team to check suitability before ordering.
Can I reduce footsteps from the flat above?
Footsteps are impact noise carried through the structure. Floor treatment at the source and suitable ceiling isolation may help, depending on the building. Flanking paths through adjoining walls can also matter. Discuss the construction with our team before choosing products.
Can I install soundproofing materials myself?
Some systems are suitable for competent DIY installation; others need specialist skills. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and pay close attention to joints, fixings and perimeter sealing. Contact us if you need advice or professional installation.
How do I work out the quantities for my project?
Measure the area and check the coverage stated for each product. Allow for the specified number of layers, cuts and waste. Clips, bars, fixings and sealant require their own calculations based on the chosen system. Ask us to review your material list before ordering.
Where can I check delivery and returns?
Check the product page and checkout for the delivery information available for your order. Contact us before ordering if you need to confirm access, handling or timing. Read our returns and refunds policy.
