BENEFITS OF CHOOSING SOUNDPROOFINGUK
SOUNDPROOFING WALLS
INDEPENDENT WALL:
The independent wall system is designed to improve both airborne and impact noise through your walls. This solution would be suitable for those who can afford to lose some space. The new Independent Wall will have no contact with the existing offending wall. Leaving an air gap between the two walls disrupts the passage of low frequency noise like footfall and bass noise.
The Independent Wall consists of metal stud, RW3 high density Rockwool, resilient bars, first layer of 19mm high density planc plasterboard, Tecsound50 and final layer of 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard.
Wall depth gained – 107mm
This system can be upgraded by replacing the 19mm plank plasterboard with a layer of 15mm SBX board.
SM20 Wall System
The SM20 system is aimed at those who want good acoustic performance without sacrificing too much space. This solution will greatly improve airborne noise such as TV’s, music and conversations through your wall.
SM20 consists of a 20mm high density rubber panel made out of recycled rubber fitted directly to the offending wall followed by 2 layers of 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard.
Wall depth gained – 45mm
This system can be upgraded by replacing one layer of 12.55mm plasterboard with a layer of 10mm or 15mm SBX board.
RESILIENT BAR WALL:
- Primary use: Used on stud walls losing minimum space – effective against impact and airborne noise
- Key Product Components: Breaker bars, 50mm RW60 wool, 19mm soundplank and 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard
- Space impact: 50.8mm
SOUNDPROOFING WALLS
Genie Clip Wall:
The Genie Clip fits directly to the offending wall saving space with a high-performance ratio.
The vibration of sound gets absorbed through the structure of the genie clip itself. With the added layers of specifically chosen material helping to break the passage of sound.
The Genie Clip gets fitted directly to the wall followed by furring channels fitted into the genie clip, RW3 high density Rockwool, first layer of 19mm high density plank plasterboard, layer of Tecsound50 and final layer of 12.3mm acoustic plasterboard.
Wall depth gained – 83mm
This system can be upgraded by replacing the 19mm plank plasterboard with a layer of 15 mm SBX Board.
Like for Like walls
This system is for areas where there is no room to spare and can only be installed on a stud wall structure. The main purpose of this system is to reduce the ‘speaker box effect’ that the empty cavity between the stud work creates.
We start by removing the existing plasterboard, filling the cavity with high density Rockwool, one layer of Tecsound50 and a final layer of acoustic plasterboard.
Wall depth gained 3mm
